With Laser Hair Removal, most people can expect a hair reduction of 80% with
remaining hair becoming finer in texture and lighter in color.
Laser light targets the hair at the base of the follicle
under the skin. The laser is a concentrated beam of light that
passes through you surface skin and is absorbed at the base of
the hair shaft.
Only hair in the active growth phase can be permanently
removed. For the average person only 30% of the hair is in the
antigen, or active phase.
Our hair reduction goal is 10-20% per treatment.
Each patients result is completely dependent on the individual.
It may take anywhere from 3-15 treatments several weeks apart to
achieve the optimal result. This is related to the patient’s
age, hormonal balance, gender, area of the body, diet, medical
conditions, and even time of the year.
Laser energy is absorbed
by the pigment in your blood and collapses
the unwanted vein. You can expect 2 treatments
6 weeks apart to completely seal the
vessel. Once the vessel os sealed the
blood from the vessel will pool like
a bruise and need to be reabsorbed by
the body. The appearance of the leg vein
will either dramatically fade or completely
disappear during the treatment. Some
vessels may show temporary swelling that
will subside after a few hours to a few
days. The redness of the treated vessel
will gradually disappear as the healing
process occurs.
At the Laser Enhancement
Center we recommend the use of a topical
for both the hair removal and leg vein
therapy.
Collagen Rejuvenation is a series of
6-8 treatments 2-4 weeks apart. This
process of collagen rebuilding plumps
the collagen at a cellular level that
settles
over time. As we age the collagen fibers pull apart causing fine lines and
wrinkles in our skin. The laser heat stimulates those collagen fibers to
reconnect, filling in those depressed areas. Studies show the toning level
remains for
9-12 months. We recommend one session every year to help maintain your results.
A vascular lesion is formed by abnormally large or numerous blood vessels located
directly under the skin. These vessels may be visible through the skin or
result in a red appearance of the skin.
At the Laser Enhancement Center we
can treat a wide variety of vascular conditions.
- Facial Telangiectasia-
Spider veins caused by a dilation of
capillary vessels or arteries.
- Cherry Angiomias- Slightly
raised red lesions.
- Spider Angiomias- Slightly
raised, red vein-like lesions.
- Rosacea-
Red facial lesions around the nose
and cheeks causing a sunburn look.
Patients
who suffer from Rosacea have numerous
vessels on the nose and cheek area which causes the patient to
have a sunburned appearance. Sometimes
these vessels will cause eruptions that have an acne-like appearance and
can cause
deep pocket scarring. After treatment with our Diolite 532nm Laser, the
vessel diminishes and the area looses its sunburned appearance. Patients
who are
on high doses of antibiotics to minimize this condition find that they
can discontinue
oral therapy altogether or reduce to a maintenance dose.

Melanin is the dark pigment present in the skin and is produced by melanocytes.
Pigmented lesions occur when an abundance of melanocytes are found in the
skin. When dark pigment multiplies, it forms freckles, brown spots, age spots
and moles.
The Laser Enhancement Center offers treatment for
the following pigmented lesions:
- Lentigines-
Flat, brown spots on the skin, present
with frequent sun exposure.
- Keratosis- Slightly
elevated pigmented spots often found
on the hands and back.
- Freckles- Brownish spots
on the skin common on people of Asian
or African descent.
Flat warts, Active Acne
and Acne Pockets can also be treated
with the Diolite 532nm Laser.
